Been trying to gather material, ideas and energy to build a little live wall for quite some time. Thanks God... I did it... A herb collection for the love of my life, fresh herbs within her arms reach, right outside the kitchen, on the boundary wall :) Installed it with my own hands and planted the seedlings. Almighty showered the best rains one can ask for the plants to grow, with beautiful intermittent sunlight periods. If the plants grow and stay healthy, I plan to gain more yield than it is currently designed give.
Currently, salad leaves, mint, onion and garlic have sprung up... changing weather will help coriander and radish to grow.
Proper sunlight is very necessary for these delicate and aromatic herbs to grow. Currently, these are under observation, and if I find that they are not getting a proper sun-lit period, I'd opt for an artificial light supporting photosynthesis. Feeling accomplished! :)
Hoping to expand the productive capacity soon!

what is the yellow material that has been put on the wall and how much did these pots cost
ReplyDeleteThat is polyethylene foam, to prevent the wall from water and mud splashes. The price of pots varies from place to place, depending upon various factors.
